Update

Hello,

Today's update reflects the past 2 weeks.

In Science students were able to volunteer to present their Rocks and Minerals Projects to the class. They were all so very creative and enjoyable! Students learned about Constellations and how there are 88 in the neighborhood sky. We discussed the more popular ones including Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. Students created their own artistic constellations including a written caption of the mythological tale. Students have been updating their moon calendars and now have 1 week to go. Students completed the Moon Phase Quiz and have been working on comprehension assignments in the Google Classroom. This week students learned about the various types of telescopes, the life cycle of stars, ways to measure distances of stars from Earth, nebulas, the Milky Way, comets and meteors, the Big Bang Theory, Mars Pathfinder, and the Inner and Outer Planets. Students played Kahoot to test their comprehension of the Solar System.

In Social Studies students read letters written by Pilgrim and Wampanoag Children, and learned about the Pilgrims 1st Winter, Mayflower Compact, Beaver Trade, and William Bradford. Finally, they created their own list for packing a trunk for their very own expedition on the Mayflower. What would they pack?

Can you believe our kids have seen yet another Super Bowl?

Here is my friend in the white jersey on the right in the front row at the Super Bowl. She went to all 19 games both home and away. It is only fitting that she is in the commercial.
