This week in Math students wrapped up our chapter on multiplying fractions and mixed numbers. Students practiced using area models and graph square grids to find the total area of 2-dimensional figures. We are headed to the division of fractions and whole numbers next week.
This week in Science students wrapped up our unit on the solar system with numerous assessments on the inner and outer planets, moon phases, and major topics of the solar system. We also read an article reporting on the proven theory of Einstein in regard to gravitational waves made in 1916. Imagine proposing this theory without the means of today's technology? We are headed to rocks and minerals next week.
