Update

Hello,

This week students completed sessions 1 and 2 of the Math MCAS using chromebooks.

In Math students reviewed the Coordinate Plane, Line Plots, Perimeter, Area, Volume, Finding an Average, and Converting Metric Measurements. Later in the week students converted both customary and metric measurements to solve multi-step word problems. Students created their own computational fluency cards including 10 operation steps. We also played the class card game 'I Have...Who Has?'

In Science students were introduced to the Ecosystem Bottle Project. We also did some background reading on what is an ecosystem, producers, consumers and their 3 types, decomposers, the food web, and the various cycles including water, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide-oxygen.
