Update

Hello,

This week in Math students are converting metric measurements for length, weight, and capacity. Each place value position is 10 times more or less than its neighbor. Students have also converted hours, minutes, and seconds to simplify elapsed time. The Problem of the Week due on Friday 5/25 will now be due on Wednesday 5/23. Students will take the Chapter 10 Quiz on Wednesday.

This week in Science students learned more about Adaptations through reading comprehension activities. The focus has been on both physical and behavioral adaptations of people and animals. Students also learned about various cycles pertaining to water, carbon dioxide - oxygen, and nitrogen. We are setting up for our Ecosystem Bottle Project. Thank you for donating to make this project possible. Project Signup The Rocks and Minerals Project is due Thursday 5/31.

Students took the Science MCAS these past 2 days so they are all set until next year!

Foreign language preference letters should be turned in to me as soon as you can.

Today, students received an entire package of pictures from their Spring Photo Shoot. You have the option to purchase following the directions on the flyer. Or, you may return the pictures on Monday.

Next Friday we will visit Old Sturbridge Village. Students should bring a bagged lunch. Most of the ground is dirt so depending on weather students may want to wear a pair of old sneakers. Students will walk around in groups of 4-5 students per adult.
