Update

Hello,

This week in Math students learned how to convert customary units of measurement relating to length, capacity and weight. Students practiced identifying mixed number on a ruler to halves, quarters, eighths, and sixteenths. Students also practiced doubling and halving to convert measures from cups to pints, to quarts, and gallons. Students then related ounces to pounds to tons.

This week in Science students began a unit on Adaptations. Students are learning about how people and animals adapt to their environment. We made several connections from my takeaways from the show One Strange Rock. Would we be able to adapt to living on another planet? There is much to learn in this unit which will extend into Ecosystems.

Next week students will take the MCAS Science on Thursday and Friday.

Thanks,

Chris
