9/5 Update

This week in Math students were introduced to Place Value. The big takeaway is that each consecutive value in a number is 10 times more than the value to its right. Students worked with very large whole numbers up to the nantillions. Students know about each period of numbers. We also learned how to express values in standard form, expanded form, and written form. Students completed a Race Track, Timed Fact Test, Kakooma activity, Tangle Table, and Paul Revere Doubling Activity.

This week in Science students learned about observations and inferences. We made Fossils out of Playdoh with objects such as bottle caps, legos, golf balls, and coins. Students completed a chart and answered questions to demonstrate understanding. Students were also introduced to the "Science in a Bag" assignment due next Thursday.

I post my daily homework on the following link:

You will find the link at the top of my blog.

Thanks for reading!
