Update

Greetings!

This week in Math students were assessed with a Quiz and Topic 1 Test in the areas of Place Value, and Comparing, Ordering, and Rounding Decimals. Place Value Dice were used by students to write down the values that were rolled. Students reviewed last week's Problem of the Week to see the benchmark for success. The September Tic Tac Challenge was submitted today. In Math Zone time students worked on enrichment activities, played Farkel, and visited the computer lab to work on Reflex, Sumdog, and Prodigy.

This week in Science students worked with Data Sheets to record information based on a Water Use Survey. The results were represented in a bar graph data display of which written conclusions were based. This investigation really made students consider their economic responsibility to conserve water and consider ways to recycle water. Students shared their immediate actions with the class.
