Happy Friday the 13th!
For our 4-day week students got into a bit of a groove. Here is what's happening in Math and Science!
In Math students continued their practice of multiplying fractions and mixed numbers for a quiz on Friday. I collected the Division POW and Birthday Bash Project. We also sprinkled in a few mini-lessons the Coordinate Plane, Line Plots and their Tables along with some refreshers on adding and subtracting fractions and multiplying and dividing decimals.Students worked on Tenmarks in Lab.
In Science students continued to type their 5 essays using their student gmail accounts. I will encourage students to complete these over vacation so they can start creating their Glog Site on Monday. It is important that they share their Glog Folder with me at: cmarrese@maynard.k12.ma.us so that I may view them.

- I am entering my 10th year in 5th grade and 20th year at Fowler. This year I am teaching math and science. I am very excited about using my iPad for instruction. I have some great apps to use which will be a fun way to learn.
