Update

Greetings!

This week in Math students investigated addition and subtraction of decimals using base-ten blocks. This included recognizing how many tenths of a hundredth represented a thousandth. Students completed a Decimal Food Label Homework Assignment to demonstrate understanding of the 3 Forms. A quiz was given at the midpoint of Chapter 3. Students completed Task Cards, Played Bingo, and I Have...Who Has? Game.

This week in Science students wrote Electricity Terms along with Examples from either the text or from their knowledge base. We discussed the path Electricity travels from the Power Plants to our homes. We also viewed a diagram of the parts of a light bulb. Students learned about open and closed circuits, and parallel and series circuits. They created drawings and answered questions about types of insulators and conductors.
