We had a great week of learning.
In Math students practiced dividing whole numbers using the standard approach. Students estimated the first digit in the quotient and created compatible numbers to compare quotients as reasonable. The October Tic Tac Challenge was due today. The Restaurant Menu is due on November 10th. Students should have their list of items and a completed order from the menu ready for class next Friday so we can calculate the tax and tip together in class.
In Science students read an article on the history of roller coasters and planned cooperatively in groups for their roller coaster designs. Later in the week students created roller coasters in the assembly hall which were all very creative and successful. I hope you all enjoy the videos.
