Update

Greetings!

This week in Math students learned how to divide decimals by powers of ten and by whole numbers. Students also applied the modeling of division using base ten blocks and money to realize how to break down large amounts into smaller amounts to provide exact change. Students received a new Problem of the Week and Tic Tac Challenge. Students will take a quiz on section 5.1, 5.2, and 5.4 next Tuesday. They worked on the review today and it is in their homework folder.


This week in Science students completed the Light Energy Unit with reading comprehension activities. Students also learned facts about rainbows. They held triangular prisms up facing the ceiling lights and towards flashlights to see rainbows. Next week we are moving onto the Solar System.
