This week students practiced the computer-based MCAS to get comfortable with the testing format using Chrome books. We will continue to practice as we approach testing dates.

This week in Math students practiced multiplying fractions and learned how to multiply mixed numbers using area models. We will continue to train students to divide out common factors to reduce large fractions to be simplified. Enrichment opportunities were shared with interested students.

This week in Science students completed a table showing the time in seconds, minutes, and hours for a person to send a 'hello' to the moon and various planets. Students also participated in the NHL's Future Goals Program. We completed 2 of the 12 lessons focused on the area of the wooden tiles on an ice rink, and states of matter of both appropriate ice and air temperatures for an ice hockey game in an arena.
