Update

Hello,

This week in Math students divided decimals by whole numbers, by decimals, and also divided decimals by decimals. Students modeled using base ten, and also multiplied divisors by powers of ten to create whole numbers.

The January Tic Tac Challenge is due on Wednesday.

The Birthday Bash Project Checkpoint is due this Thursday. Each student will need to show me a completely filled in spreadsheet of all items and their costs along with a completed table of math calculations. This will leave the invitation and cake to be completed.

This week in Science students learned about constellations based on mythology. Students created their own constellation on black paper with foil for stars and white colored pencil for the shape.
Students update their Moon Calendar and prepared for a 2nd quiz on the moon phases to test for recall. I also introduced students to popular Apps on my IPAD called Moon Globe, Mars Globe, Spacecraft 3D, and SkyView Lite. Ask them about the apps.
