Update

Hello,

This week in Science students read a picture book called Lessons about Light. We learned about how light behaves and facts about rainbows. Students participated in the Just Passing Through Lab where they tested various objects for transparency, translucency, and for being opaque. Students then began working on a Light Circle Book. We ended the week with a Brainpop Video on Light Energy. Students were also given the opportunity to retake the Electricity Quiz.

This week in Mr. Marrese's History Class we read from an online site to get to know America's greatest explorers. Students then participated in a scavenger hunt to jot down basic facts about each explorer. These explorers include: Amerigo Vespucci, Henry Hudson, John Cabot, Juan Ponce de Leon, Jacques Cartier, Samuel de Champlain, Vasco Nunez de Balboa, Hernan Cortes, Francisco Pizarro, Ferdinand Magellan, Vasco de Gama, and Christopher Columbus. Others include Leif Erikson, Francisco Vazquez de Coronado, Giovanni da Verrazzano, Hernando de Soto, Marco Polo, and Lewis and Clark. We will learn about technology next week.
