Greetings!
This week in Science students learned about the 5 properties of minerals, the gemstones for each birth month, uses at home for specific minerals, the Old Man in the Mountain, examples of non-living resources such as alloys, and answers to questions clarifying common misconceptions about rocks and minerals and how they are different. Students completed a fill-in the blank and crossword puzzle to demonstrate understanding of vocabulary. Students also had the opportunity to complete a Flipgrid stating differences between rocks and minerals. Finally, we discussed the components of soil including its 3 layers.
This week in Mr. Marrese's History Class students prepared for the Explorers Test. Students also prepped and performed in the play "America's Best Explorer".
