Update

Greetings!

This week in Science students practiced writing hypotheses in the Gummy Bear Lab. Students practiced graphing and writing a conclusion in the Colored Crayon Lab after watching a 5-minute video of Mr. Rodgers tour of a crayon factory. Students also used all skills in the Scientific Method in the Colored Dye Lab to see if temperature affected how quickly droplets of yellow and blue dye mixed together to form green. Students submitted and some volunteered to share their Science in a Bag. We also introduced the 3 States of Matter and discussed melting, evaporation, and condensation. Finally, students were presented with the NHL Future Goals interactive media site for the Scientific Method and States of Matter for the following: Preparing the Ice for Air and Ice Temperature, and Designing a Stick for a player in terms of lie, face, and flexibility.

This week in Mr. Marrese's History class students read and answered questions on 9/11. Students also practiced learning States and Capitals, and Major Continents and Oceans.

On a personal note my daughter was accepted to her 1st choice of college from the University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality. She has always dreamed of working for Walt Disney World. We are very excited for her news as a senior in high school.

Regards,

Chris
