Update

Greetings!

This week in Science class I read The Boston Evening Globe newspaper from July 16, 1969 regarding the Apollo 11's mission to the Moon. Students played Jeopardy to prepare for the Rocks and Minerals Test. Students read and answered questions following a mini-lesson on Gravity, the Earth, Sun, and Moon, and a focus on our Sun. Students viewed a Moon Phase Slide, received their Study Guide on the Moon Phases and viewed Brainpop videos on Gravity and the Moon Phases. Finally, students created a Flipgrid video explaining their interpretation of the Moon Phases.

This week in Mr. Marrese's History Class students read about the many tax laws placed on the colonists. We discussed these tax laws as causes of the revolution. Students made decisions upon whether to boycott or pay taxes on their current personal items and activities. Students then created a Stamp representing too much homework. Next, students viewed 5 station exhibits from our Colonial Trunk which was lent to Ms. Cook from the Concord Museum. Students answered questions on the handouts to extract thoughts about what they learned.

Enjoy your week with your kids home!

Chris
